What this site is
Neural Goldmine is a daily resource for people building with AI. It brings together remote AI job listings, freelance contract opportunities, curated industry news, and practical guides for developers working with large language models.
Who runs it
Neural Goldmine is built and operated by Joshua Twycross, a platform lead and full-stack engineer based in Cape Town, South Africa, with over six years building TypeScript, React and Node.js systems end to end — from database schema through CI/CD pipelines to production monitoring.
He currently works as Platform Lead at Aye Eye Global Watch, owning platform architecture and backend development. Earlier work includes full-stack and platform engineering for Orion Labs, Modern Day Strategy and PRIXGIG. He holds a Diploma in IT Software Development from IIE's Varsity College.
Neural Goldmine grew out of that day-to-day work: remote AI roles, contract opportunities and tooling news are scattered across dozens of sources, and this is an attempt to put them in one place.
How the content is made
To be straightforward about this: the guides in the Articles section are generated automatically from curated topic briefs using a large language model, and are not individually reviewed before publication. The topics and the editorial rules the generator follows are chosen by hand; the resulting prose is not read line by line.
The generator is instructed to avoid invented statistics, fabricated benchmarks and "best product" claims, and to describe categories and tradeoffs instead. Even so, treat these articles as a starting point rather than an authority, and verify anything you plan to act on. If you spot an error, say so and it will be corrected or removed.
How the jobs and news are sourced
Listings and news items are aggregated daily from public feeds and job boards, then filtered for relevance to AI builders. Links point to the original source; full third-party articles are not republished here.
